I make several jars of strawberry and rubarb jam, but have to add pectin. I’ll have to make a few jars of the plum one! Thanks! I never thought about plum jam.
Ooo, so jealous of all that fresh, colorful produce right in front of your eyes and nose. At least we readers can enjoy vicariously through your images. 💜
For sure, but not as much happening in Oslo (the produce grown here certainly does not include peppers and the like). There is about a week where there is fresh corn sold here (otherwise you can’t find that even in grocery stores). Other than that, we do have strawberries and raspberries and blueberries and cherries in the summer (yummy — and it is fun also to forage these when out on a walk as they grow wild too), some rhubarb perhaps (but that is also in the yard), and now it’s local apple season (they are not the best varieties though). I come from the American southwest so I miss the kind of (spicier!) farm-fresh items you shared in your post so I think I have to just enjoy all the bright and varied produce you shared with us. 😃
Feel like I’m with the two of you there. The pictures and descriptions are amazing. What is the “cat” made of - metal or ceramic. Enjoy that cool weather.
Beautiful photos of fresh Whole Foods Paul! Fall is just around the corner! It sounds like your canning efforts have been well worth the effort! 🤗💖✨
More goodies for the pantry yesterday too: a plum jam by Linda Naylor!
😋😋😋
Our plums have been the best this year! No jam though, but that sounds so good now that you mention it. ✨✨✨
They a full of natural pectin so jam is quite easy to make 😎

You can also check your local market for some goodies too. Thanks for your kind words 😎

You capture the most beautiful photos, so many vibrant colors. The cat sculpture is fun also, love that too!!
It amazes me the bounty of beautiful foods available at these Farmers' Markets.
That’s what keeps me going; and the fun meals made from our purchases 😎

The cat is ceramic with glossy paint. Quite fun!
